Fishing

Along with all of those boats, naturally there is fishing. Fresh water lakes and rivers, the sea - the Vietnamese fish anywhere and everywhere with a variety of methods, but mostly by casting their nets far and wide. I especially liked the round boats shown below; they are made for fishing on the open ocean, able to bob amongst the waves without tipping. The photos of the fishermen casting the nets were taken at Ton Le Sap lake in Cambodia - it was such a thrill to watch (and I do think that the fishermen liked to show off their skill to us photographers - which we lapped up like sweet milk!).
